STEPS

Steps is a KS4 nurture group, which works closely with The Bridge, which is our feeder group.  Steps is designed to enable those students who find it difficult to work in the main body of the school to thrive at their own pace and according to their individual needs.

The students in Steps also have opportunities to join their peers in lessons such as Enterprise and PE so as to participate in the wider life of the school.

The curriculum is tailored to suit their learning styles and to ensure that they make progress and are fulfilled in their learning.

On a Thursday, Year 11 students in Steps attend a college provision which provides an experience of Post 16 Learning  which is key to help them move on in their education when they leave The Valley School.
