The Globe is a place that has many uses within the school. It is a place that pupils and adults alike can resource information, either by books or the internet.
It is used as a classroom as there is an interactive white board and a number of Apple Mac computers. The resources in the Globe include box sets of plays and reading schemes as well as reference books. It is a bright and airy space with constantly changing displays which interest all visitors.
The Globe is a relaxed and comfortable place for pupils to come along to during lunch time, where they can have use of the computers and books or just relax.
The school keeps a number of animals and they are an important part of our school community. Doris and Spot, a pug and a greyhound, are in school every day and very popular with the students. They spend most of their day in the Hub. We have a number of hens who lay wonderfully tasty eggs and a school cockerel called Princess! We also have three snakes: a corn snake called Stanley, a king snake called Charlie and a hob nose snake called Hudson. There is a snake club that meets regularly to care for the snakes. The school also has a number of guinea pigs, rabbits and fish. All of these offer our pupils the chance to learn about responsibility and caring.
