Year 11 Autumn Term Learning 2017

Year 11 have made a great start to this academic year! We are a cohesive team who work together as mentors to younger pupils and ambassadors to the school.

For the first time, we have elected new House Captains and some of us have stepped up to become part of this new team.  We can’t wait to see what they get up to next term.

We started our year with a residential trip to Devon.  We stayed in a barn and spent time exploring the beaches.  We had a great time and are looking to raise money in January to return before we leave the school.

Some of us did our first English mock exam which was scary but will help us prepare for the real ones!  Some of us also went on a trip to the Royal Opera House where they make all of the sets and props.  This was really interesting and will help us with our Arts Awards.

In PE, a group of us have been going to the gym and learning how to use all of the equipment safely.

We started North Herts College this term and go every Thursday.  This will help us move up to College next year.

We have taken part in lots of whole-school events, often leading activities.  We were tour guides on open morning and lots of us took part in the school production of Elf, including leading the backstage team and taking on some of the main characters in the show.

We are excited to see what next term brings!
