The school office team are always happy to help. You can contact us on the main telephone number from 8am until 4pm and choose the Reception option.
Out of hours messages will automatically divert you to our voicemail. You can email us at: admin@thevalley.herts.sch.uk or you can contact the Office Manager, Iona Varol, at iona.varol@thevalley.herts.sch.uk. You can also visit us face to face at reception.
Please report all absences on our dedicated absence line (option 1).
School Reception
Maxine Dale is our school receptionist and first point of contact with any enquiries you may have, whether it’s school uniform, dinner money, enquiring about a lost coat or would like to speak to a member of staff. Please do not hesitate to contact Maxine Dale as you will be made very welcome.
As well as covering the reception area Maxine Dale also checks the registration in the mornings and afternoons, so if your child is absent from school and you have forgotten to call in, Maxine Dale will contact you.
All letters home are sent via email and a copy can also be found on the website to download. If you do not have email then a paper copy will be sent home in the post.

We are a small and friendly team who work hard to make sure the site is kept safe and secure. We are responsible for the day to day running of the site.
We pride ourselves on hard work, are a very approachable team and interact well with our students. We carry out a variety of jobs from general maintenance and small repairs to daily cleans and deep cleans during the holidays. At the current moment we are focusing on certain areas of the school each holiday trying to constantly improve the image of our school.
